I'm a freelance web designer with a background in experimental psychology!
I freely admit that I'm a bit of a geek!

I like to travel but I really like to sit in my kayak, in the middle of Windermere, having a cup of tea!
I'm originally from Hampshire but now live near Lancaster, in the North West of England. I am an experimental psychologist by training having undertaken a degree (Worcester College), MSc (University of Essex) and PhD (Lancaster University). My PhD focused on learning, memory and face recognition in children and adults but I have subsequently worked within a diverse range of research teams including the Cyberspace Research Unit and ChiCI (Child Computer Interaction) Research Group. I am currently working within the Midwifery Research Cluster at the University of Central Lancashire.
I like to geek and have always had an interest in Apple computers. As part of my research, I have been involved in a number of online initiatives including the development of project-based web sites and online learning resources. As an aside to my academic work, I am also a freelance web designer and formed an independent web design service called Gluji in 2008. Through this service, I focus on producing university and research-related web sites as well as web sites for individuals, small businesses and charities. I specialise in using the latest HTML5 and CSS3 technologies.
I love to hear from old friends and acquaintances (I really hate the word 'mate'). If you would like to get in touch, the best way to contact me is through twitter or LinkedIn - I'm afraid I no longer use Facebook or Google Plus!
You can always email me directly!
